At a pivotal point in their development, Spratley Studios approached us with a compelling brief - to rectify the imbalance between their brand and their practice, and to steer them towards a strategy for the future.

Through workshops and analysis, we carefully picked apart where they were, where they needed to be, and how to get there. As a result, a raft of changes were implemented. These included a striking new identity and website, a structural overhaul empowering younger directors to take the helm (and a renaming of the practice to reflect this), and implementing new processes that have enabled them to win more work, more easily.

We have worked as Spratley & Partners’ brand guardians since 2016, during which time the team has doubled in size, and the practice now works from three key locations - London, Henley-on-Thames and Bristol.

Aloof Studio questioned, listened and then expertly guided us to a creative solution to unearth our unique identity. Curating and renewing our digital platform/presence, changing the practice name to reflect the operational changes to the business, they have captured our values producing a brand beyond just a graphical style. Instead it has become part of how we seek, win and deliver work.

Spratley & Partners spent a long time looking for the right agency to help refocus our branding and then we met Aloof Studio. From our initial meeting with Sam and James it was clear that they had a different approach and agreeing to go forward was as much about them selecting us as it was us recognising their talent.

When does that ever happen!

Aloof managed every element of our project but collaboratively with us. They are meticulous in their approach to everything they do and set the bar very high. The end result was a new brand that we could communicate internally and externally and on their advice many changes to internal processes have had a huge and positive impact on time and cost internally.
